Northtown Dental Center invites you to learn more about our professional and dedicated doctors available at our Blaine, MN location.
Mike Nemetz D.D.S.
Dr. Michael Nemetz grew up the oldest of six children in St. Paul, MN. While growing up, he loved school, sports, playing the guitar and outdoor activities. Later in life, he attended the University of Minnesota for both his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and then his Doctor of Dental Surgery. Dr. Nemetz recalls, “I had many interests, but my love for people, science and creating art with my hands made dentistry a perfect fit for me.”
In 1983, Dr. Michael Nemetz joined the Northtown Dental practice and has never looked back. From the very beginning, his treatment philosophy was a simple one, “I treat my dental patients the way I would want myself or my family to be treated. I like to put people at ease. I do not take myself too seriously; I listen and do not preach or judge. I assess my patient’s overall oral health and if needed, present treatment options and then respectfully work with my patient’s decisions. There is never any pressure and a wee bit of levity goes a long way. Yes, we provide quality and comprehensive dental care, but to have a little laughter in the dental office and quite frankly, in all of life, is a good thing.”
Dr. Nemetz and his wife, Josie, have raised two wonderful children, Natalie and Joe. “Our biggest joy is family time, grilling in the summer and talking and laughing around the dinner table.”
In Dr. Mike’s free-time, he enjoys reading, movies, bicycling, snowshoeing and of course anything Gophers, Vikings, Twins and Wild!
Thomas W. Anderson D.D.S.
Dr. Thomas Anderson founded Northtown Dental Center in 1981 with the basic philosophy “Treat Patients as you would wish to be treated”.
Dr. Anderson is originally from Duluth, MN. He received his education at Gustaws Adolphus College and the University of Minnesota. After graduation from the University of Minnesota, Dr. Anderson served as a dentist in the U.S. Army for two years at Fort Ord, California. He currently practices dentistry on a limited basis, but remains active in the administration of the practice.
